Odyssey Complex is not a reprise nor an actualisation of the Homeric myth, but a reversible visit of its landscape, experimented in the “here and now”. What does its figures become when they are met by our contemporary presences? What happens when we try to tell, in our complex and multilayered language, this ancestral poem? Which form is taken by Ulysses’s journey when it is practiced by the nomads we are today, always travelling from a country to another, from a media to another…?
This is the road taken by this collective of artists for a long term research and its variable embodiment in potential formats of presentation : film, performative conference, installation…. For TANZNACHT BERLIN 2012, the spectator is invited for such a trip through media, on an undecidable ocean between reality and fiction. Conscious and hidden elements are calling for his own connections and imagination in order to find, in his inner space, the location of their full existence.
