Dance what I sing or sing what I dance – directly and without delay, the three performers, Jean-Claude Dagbo alias DJ Meko, Lena Wicke-Aengenheyster and Franck Edmond Yao alias Gadouk- ou la Star, fulfil the mandate of Desistieren 03. They characterise one another, already knowing a little about each other or speculate about the biography, private and sex life of the others. Using this, they keep to the form of ‘Mickey Mousing’ – the direct synchronisa- tion of text into gesture and dance – for an hour. Penetrating, ambi- tious and right on the border of illustration, what is said becomes the impulse for movement while simultaneously the movement becomes a comment on what is said.
