John the Houseband
25. August 2012, 22:00 h, Uferstudio 14
On their journey through Europe, the artistic collective of per- formers, choreographers and dancers make a stopover at the TANZNACHT BERLIN 2012. On a road trip in their ‘combie’ through the crisis-shaken Southern states, they get to know countries and peoples, collecting stories and songs about old and new Europe. From these meetings performative miniatures are created – sung, spoken, danced or played – in familiar and unfamiliar places. As contemporary troubadours they give body and voice to Europe in this time of crisis, and from country to country they convey that which moves the individual in those places.
