Jolika Sudermann is a freelance director and choreogapher. With a background in classical ballet and environmental sciences, she graduated from a dance theatre education (Community Performance Teacher degree) in Hamburg and from the Physical Theatre (MIME) department at the Amsterdam College of Arts. Jolika lives in Berlin, with her work being supported by Het Veem Theater Amsterdam and zeitraumexit Mannheim amongst others. Her performances A Talk and PULSE have successfully been touring through Europe for more than three years now. PULSE was a priority company of the Aerowaves Performance Network in 2011. A Talk won the audience prize and the prize for outstanding performance at the Stuttgart Theatre Award/ Stuttgarter Theaterpreis in April 2013. Her latest work INFANTEN premiered last november. Jolika teaches at Tanzfabrik Berlin and engages in community performance projects.
