\u00abEverybody\u2019s Fantasy\u00bb is a performance work after Gertrude Stein\u2019s 1937 book \u00abEverybody\u2019s Autobiography\u00bb based on \u00abThe Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas\u00bb, written by Stein in 1933 in the guise of an autobiography. Reflecting on the biographical, the-life-lived as an accessible format for others to enter, visit or witness with appreciation yet without ownership, this work considers the rotation, the next round and the fantasy that rests close by. For Tanznacht, the work shifts the original stage format to encompass a three hour installed space where the audience has the ability to walk away, to depart, to end, to let a thing exist beyond their grasp, beyond the collection and maintenance of it. The work follows desire knowing that it is not bound to sense or sensibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
