Talking together – Three discussions over three days. Day 1: “Parenting”

PSR (Performance Situation Room) / Guest: Inna Barinberg/Relationship Coach | Talk
Friday 11.9. 15:00, COURTYARD (open air) or in the boiler house (Heizhaus) in the event of rain

Lea Martini and Mila Pavićević in conversation with Inna Barinberg

Duration: 2 hours.

The PSR collective is holding three thematically related discussions during the 2020 edition of the Tanznacht Berlin festival. Participants are invited to join the collective and a special guest to exchange stories and opinions on the themes “parenting”, “(polyamorous) love” and “living with the virus”.

For example, what challenges do parents face who are working under unstable conditions and with increasing irregularity in the arts world? Do they feel involved or marginalized?

Another question the group asks is: Will love need redefining in the context of post-COVID-19 dystopias? Will the fear of getting hurt be superseded by entirely different fears generated by the pandemic? And which models for relationships are compatible with a world in which various spheres of life are shifting and colliding?

One thing is certain: “living with the virus” makes it imperative to review our existing systems. One value that needs rethinking on various levels: Solidarity! “Sharing views” should be a good way to start. As should dancing together again without social distancing: The discussions sparked in 2020 will end in a big party in the boiler house at Tanznacht Berlin 2021.

Inna Barinberg is a relationship coach* and workshop leader*. As a non-binary, queer person, Inna has been writing about a polyamorous everyday life from her own experience for several years, giving lectures and workshops on the topic.
