The installation ON ORIENTATIONS | SHIFTING THE BURDEN by An Kaler and Anne Quirynen fluidly shifts between the media of painting, video art and choreography. In their video-photo installation CONTAGIOUS! Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz exposes the subversive forms of protest within popular styles of dance around 1900 and traces the then widespread idea of epidemic infection through physical imitation. Bjørn Melhus references in MAESTRA Mexican narco-culture and militarisation of the country. In Meg Stuarts video THE ONLY POSSIBLE CITY the face becomes an excavation site. Penelope Wehrlis video and sound installation HOUSE OF SNOW becomes a fascinating meditation about perception and time and the process of reading and understanding.
